Job Opening Announcement
The City of Carrizo Springs is presently accepting applications for the position of Receptionist.
Essential Duties*
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Accepts, reviews, assess and forwards calls; takes messages and provides to appropriate party; greets visitors and determines needs; identifies and refers to appropriate party; responds to questions, concerns and issues within the scope of designated authority; accepts, sorts and distributes mail; accepts, reviews and drafts correspondence for a variety of department heads, supervisors, managers and other City of Carrizo Springs officials; provides clerical and related assistance based upon need and requirements.
Compiles information and provides regularly scheduled reports; types checks, invoices and other form documents, maintains and schedules appointments, reservation of city facilities and related city services, accepts payments and issues receipts; assists with travel planning, reservations, advances and expense forms; assists City Magistrate in taking fines paid for routine matters; issues receipts for fines paid.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma or GED and two years of relevant, progressively responsible secretarial,
clerical, receptionist, or closely related responsibilities preferred.
