Utility Clerk

The City of Carrizo Springs is presently accepting applications for the position of Utility Clerk.

Under general supervision, performs a variety of billing and related functions associated with

the City of Carrizo Springs utility services.

Reviews and issues utility billing statements; assesses and verifies meter reader records and reports; enters data into the City of Carrizo Springs’ automated recording system; reviews and prepares bills; oversees mailing and distribution of billing statements; accepts payments submitted in person and by mail; issues receipts; works with delinquent accounts, establishes and monitors service agreement payments; monitors compliance to agreement, drafts cut-off notices, reviews transfers and related billing changes, sets up new and arranges for end of utility services, updates files and records, dispatches meter readers and appropriate utility workers, processes bank deposits.
