JOB OPENINGS ANNOUNCEMENT

The City of Carrizo Springs is presently accepting applications for Meter Reader Technician in the Water Department.

The Meter Reader Technician reports to Water Department Supervisor, does not supervise any employees, and has contact with other departmental employees and general public.

Performs a variety of routine duties associated with reading, repairing, inspecting and maintaining utility service meters.  Serves as a back-up as needed in the construction, maintenance and/or repair of water lines, wastewater collection lines and other related tasks.

Minimum qualifications is High School Diploma or its equivalent and two years’ work experience and/or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Must be proficient in computer.
