Position: Parks and Recreation Service Worker

Full Time Position

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operates commercial type mowers, trimmers, and other heavy equipment during the day.
Cleans and maintains city parks.
Digs holes, pours concrete, and erects streets signs.
Trim tree limbs and brush.
Check’s oil, water, fuel, tires, and hydraulic system and performs other routine inspections to ensure vehicle is in proper working condition.
Works outdoors in hot, cold and/or hot weather.
Collect brush, garbage and debris and loads onto truck.
Performs minor mechanical repairs on equipment.

Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Operate light equipment.
Clean and maintain city parks.
Bending
Heavy lifting
Work outdoors regardless of weather (hot, cold, or wet)

Observing work site, observing work duties, communicating with co-workers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A high school diploma or GED and must have a valid driver’s License.
