These codes and ordinances ensure owners maintain their property which helps protect citizen’s health, safety and welfare. The city has a direct impact on preserving the livability and property values of its neighborhoods. The most common code violations and enforcement happens when a citizen reports potential violations.

The city will be enforcing the following code and ordinance violations:

• Junked Motor Vehicles – Ordinance No. 451, Article VI 16-140
• Construction without permits for residential and commercial – Ordinance No. 765

The city has been sending and continues to send out courtesy letters to property owners and residents regarding possible code violations to improve the appearance and safety of the neighborhood. Failure to comply could result in the issuance of citations to property owners and residents and may face penalties or fines up to $1,000.
Our goals are to encourage residents and property owners to maintain their homes and yards to preserve property values and discourage crime. We are asking the citizens of Carrizo Springs for your cooperation and assistance. Make Carrizo Springs a cleaner, safer and more attractive place for all residents!
